Iconic 50s kitsch. Buffet's still life pictures of flowers are renowned.
Buffet was an artist like Tretchikoff who rebelled against the abstract modernist movements and painted realistically. They both were excellent marketers of their work and Buffet's Paris agent Maurice Garnier made him the most successful French artist in the world in the 1950s and 1960s behind only Picasso. A example of this is the high quality prints to be found, like Tretchikoff's.

This piece is in exceptionally excellent condition with nice frame and no fading or marks. The canvas at the back is very clean.
