The Bernette Chicago 7 is a 2000 stitch, computerized sewing machine with an embroidery module. It is built for Bernina in a Bernina-owned facility, and is sold only through certified Bernina dealers. The embroidery features 100 built-in, ready-to-use designs and one alphabet. It has a USB port for loading other embroidery designs. It has a maximum stitch width of 7mm, a maximum stitch length of 4,5mm. Embroidery field size is 110mm x 170mm (approximately 4.3" x 6.7"). The machine comes with an illustrated instruction manual, and a dust cover. Features include: LCD Display, drop-in bobbin, LED light, 80 stitches per minute maximum sewing speed, manual-adjustable upper-thread tension, push-button thread cutter, start/stop button (lets you sew without using the presser foot), needle stop up/down, 6 needle positions, twin-needle capability, slide speed control to adjust the maximum sewing speed, 2-step presser foot lift, electric foot control, ability to drop the feed dog, automatic bobbin winder, automatic (push-button) securing function. Stitches include: 14 utility stitches, 8 buttonholes, 2 eyelets, 153 decorative stitches, 2 darning stitches, and 2 alphabets, plus the 100 embroidery designs and one embroidery/monogramming alphabet.
