Jemima Puddleduck
On offer this lovely Beswick Figure of Beatrix Potter's "Jemima Puddleduck", standing 11cm tall. In lovely condition with no damage to report, though please note the inside of the hat rim has an internal chip that has been glazed over, done at time of manufacture so this is a factory production fault (see second last photo where this is visible). I have had this confirmed by a reputable dealer. Markings on the underside of the base.
From the Internet: The John Beswick Studios are most famous for their animal ceramic figurines, figurines based on cartoon characters, and for their range of Beatrix Potter figurines. A Collection of 5 Beswick Beatrix Potter figures (including Jemima Puddleduck) sold at Bonhams, Chester for £432, June 2008. Collectors have always been attracted to Beswick due to the fun nature of many of the figurines, and the quality of the sculptures. There has always been interest in the Beatrix Potter range and the TV and cartoon character tie-ins are increasing the awareness in Beswick figurines.
