Here is an unusual and collectible Beswick kitten in the colourway Grey Striped .He is actually a bit of a mystery almost a cross between a grey striped and a Swiss roll..see the cat colorway photo from A Charlton Standard Catalogue Beswick Animals 8th Edition by Callows and Sweetand decide for yourself!
I now think he is a Striped ..as apparently the Swiss Rolls have 2 distinct circles on them!
As stamped in clay on his base he is model nos 1886 Persian Kitten -Seated,looking up.With the painters number 31 on the base as well.
Designed by Albert Hallam in the Striped colorway he was only available between 1962-1973)
Although there were 12 different colorways in this model. Height is 4 inches(10.1cm)
Whatever colour he is -he is in excellent vintage condition and an interesting addition to any ones Beswick cat collection and/or a wonderful gift for a lover of Persians!
