Beyoncé - I am ... Yours. An Intimate Performance at the Wynn [DVD] [2009] (DVD) I am a big Beyonce fan, so getting this was a must. She is great live and this show, clearly shows what she can do. I do have one caveat; this DVD was billed as an intimate performance and Ms Knowles announces (in the 'extras') that at least part of the show was intended to be akin to an unplugged, acoustic version of what she does. Well that it ain't. it may be stripped back a little, from the huge stadium shows she has done - I have a live dvd of her going full throttle at such an event and know whereof I speak; superb! - However, the Wynn show (despite being in a smaller venue) feels just as produced, just as overblown and not one whit less energetic than that. There are dancers and production numbers and a sizeable band too, and Ms B's performance is big, ebullient and faultless. I, for one, am very happy with my purchase but if you are looking for 'unplugged intimacy' from Ms B, look elsewhere. Otherwise, buy this DVD, stick it in your machine, sit back and be prepared to be blown away!
