Published by The Aquarian Press, 1990, index, 240 pages, condition: new.

Written by  parapsychologist and author D. Scott Rogo and published shortly before his tragic, unsolved death, the book serves as a culmination of his research into how alternative realms and human consciousness interact with our daily physical existence.

Rogo argues that various paranormal phenomena are not isolated, random events. Instead, they are "intrusions" caused by rifts between our consensus reality and higher, unseen dimensions.

Rather than treating ghosts, UFOs, and miracles as distinct mysteries, Rogo unifies them. He posits that psychokinesis, poltergeist activity, and close encounters are different symptoms of the exact same dimensional overlap.

A central thesis is that these unseen dimensions are intrinsically linked to human consciousness. Rogo suggests that things like UFO abductions might originate from extra-dimensional realms that directly interface with, and are shaped by, the minds of the witnesses.

The book examines evidence for life after death, including reincarnation cases and near-death experiences. Rogo theorizes that when we die, our consciousness separates from the body to evolve within these parallel, higher-dimensional frameworks.

Rogo concludes by looking at religious miracles and the sheer psychic potential of human belief, arguing that faith itself can alter physical reality by thinning the barrier between dimensions.

Born in 1950, D. Scott Rogo was a dominant and widely respected journalist-investigator in the field of parapsychology. He published 30 books and hundreds of articles before the age of 40.

Despite writing for the public, Rogo worked with established research facilities like the Psychical Research Foundation and the Maimonides Medical Center. He was known for attempting to apply scientific methodologies to highly unusual topics.

Rogo was found stabbed to death in his Northridge, California home in August 1990, the same year Beyond Reality was released. His murder remains one of the parapsychology community's most infamous cold cases.

: "Scott was also a leading authority on the history of psychical research. In this I would estimate that there are only three or four people in the world who might be considered to be in his league. The breadth of his historical knowledge of the field was unsurpassed."
