The story of the Western province
the so-called Western Province arose, though it was merely a division. Officially there is no such place as the Western Province to-day. However, I think it is generally accepted that if a slightly-curved line is drawn from the mouth of the Olifants River on the west coast to the Breede River in the south, this will mark the Western Province.
