Steps for removing the crank: Unscrew the crankset fixing screw with an 8mm hex socket, then screw the thick section of the crankset remover into the crank, tighten it with a wrench, and then use the thin end of the crankset remover by hand Tighten it clockwise, and then use a wrench to tighten it a few times to lift the chainring off.
