BID PER COIN: Small collection of four ERROR coins of the Republic of South Africa

There are four error coins in this collection.

1) The first coin is a 1995 R5 with a clipped planchet. Incomplete planchets result from accidents when the steel rods used to punch out blanks from the metal strip overlap a portion of the strip already punched.

2) The second coin is a 1994 R5 that was struck on an undersized planchet. With a weight of 4 grams, the R5 was possibly struck on the planchet of a R2 or R1 coin?

3) Miss-struck R1 of 1995 creating a bonnet (“kappie” in Afrikaans) on the one side.

4) Miss-struck R1of 1977 creating a bonnet (“kappie” in Afrikaans) on the one side.
