Description
Robert Mitchum reprises his role as private detective Philip Marlowe in this thriller directed by Michael Winner. In 1970s London, Marlowe (Mitchum) is hired by General Sternwood (James Stewart), who is being blackmailed because of his daughter Camilla (Candy Clark)'s gambling debts. The mystery deepens when Marlowe learns that the husband of Sternwood's other daughter Charlotte (Sarah Miles) is missing and he soon becomes caught in a complex web of intrigue and murder.
The cast also includes Joan Collins, Oliver Reed and Richard Boone.
