The WaterInca Pleated sediment filteris usually the first stage in the water filtration system. This sediment filteris designed to remove visible particles such as mud, rust, sand, dust and siltfrom the water. It also removes turbidity, which is the cloudiness caused by alarge number of particles in water.
The Pleated sediment filtercartridges are made from durable, spun-bond, non-woven, polyester fabric,making it a washable and re-usable filter cartridge thereby extending the timeperiod between filter replacements. Each filter undergoes a thermally bondedconstruction, with the media, end caps and inner core heat sealed together. Themedia has been pleated to maximize its dirt holding capacity and can filterlarge amounts of water at a high flow-rate without causing a drop in the waterpressure.
These filters come in a range micronratings, namely 1µm, 5µm, 10µm, 20µm, 30µm, 50µm and 100µm. The micron ratingis the size of hole in the filter that prevents particle from passing through.There is no price difference between the micron ratings, but we usually shipthe 5µm rated filter unless otherwise requested.
