Bittereinders - JRL van Bruggen - 1935 - Hardeband in baie mooi toestand  - Stofomslag toon ouderdomsverwantr verweer - Intern baie netjies.

The action of much of this fictionised history takes place in and around the concentration camp set up during the Anglo-Boer War by the British in Mafeking for Boer women and children. Many of the author\'s sources - mainly the written evidence of those confined in this camp - are acknowledged at the end of the book. The publisher - identified in one of the photographs - was one of those who was interned at Mafeking.

Only the last chapter deals with the \"Bittereinders\", the subject of the title of the book. These \"bitter-enders\" were the guerillas who fought on after the cessation of conventional hostilities.

The turquoise cloth-boards, black to the panel and the spine. The book\'s x + 204 pp are augmented by several inserted plates, of which three fold out to panoramas 380 mm wide.
