This 9700 is a 3G Smartphone that comes with a decent sized 65k TFT colour screen which measures 2.44 Inches and provides a 480 x 360 pixel screen resolution. This feature allows the user to take a phone call over the handsets speakers for a loud call experience. The HTML Web browser lets the user surf the Web for information, services and social networking. Websites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are easily accessible on the Bold 9700. This handset supports document-viewing capabilities; these will allow the user to view documents in popular formats including Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel and PDF format.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 comes with an integrated media player that allows the user to enjoy playing back their music in popular music formats such as AAC-LC, AAC+, Eaac+, AMR-NB, MP3, WM9 (.wma/.asf), WMA9 PRO/WMA10, AAC-LC. This player will provide plenty of fun and entertainment to be enjoyed on the handset. The user can use their Bluetooth or USB connectivity options to transfer music onto their Smartphone or even download new music from the many online music stores. There is a built in 3.2 MP digital camera for the user to capture store and send their photos. This handset is compact when considering all that is packed into its casing. It is easy to use and has manageable dimensions at 109 x 60 x 14.1mm. The Bold 9700 weighs 120 grams which is a good weight for a Smartphone of with its features, as it will not weigh its user down when being carried.
