Hardy climber.  It is a climbing plant that has bright yellow hart shaped flowers that can appear through the season.  Rapidly ascending stems carry hanging clusters of lemon flowers amidst delicate ferny foliage all summer long before producing numerous sausage-like seed pods hanging on stringy stems.  These change from green to purple in late autumn and winter.

Sowing : Sow seeds in summer onto a good soil-based compost covering seeds with fine grit or compost to approximately their own depth.  Germination may be slow.  Grow individual seedlings in 3 inch pots before finally planting with climbing support in a well-drained spot or a very large pot.
