Sanmai Laminated, traditional process hand forge welded 4000 layer Katana from Zanshin Ironworks.

Shubo-Zukuri construction.

1060 steel, 57HRC edge rigidity, differentially clay / water tempered.

Full tang, battle ready.

Made by cladding a very hard high carbon steel core with two layers of folded steel - one on each side.

The softer sides are for flexibility / aesthetics and the inner hard core keeps a sharp edge.
