Description of Painting:

I live in Barrydale in the Klein Karoo and am inspired on a daily basis by the beautiful wildlife, insects and flora we have here. These blue dragonflies live in my garden and are just so beautiful to see whizzing about. Their wings shimmer in the light and are tinged with gold which I've recreated here with gold acrylic liner and pearly opalesque white paint.
