Blue Lace Agate Geode from Farm 254 Ysterputz, Karasburg West

Size:  71mm x 57mm x 108mm approximately
Weight:  599 gram
This stunning slab showcases the captivating beauty of Namibian Blue Lace Agate.  A rare variety of chalcedony, this gemstone is prized for its delicate yet bold aesthetic. Flowing bands of white and lace-like blue weave throughout the stone, creating a mesmerizing visual tapestry.
Geological Wonder:
Millions of years ago, Namibia's volcanic activity sculpted this natural treasure. Silica-rich fluids seeped into cavities within volcanic rock, slowly crystallizing over time. The intricate layering is a result of alternating chemical compositions within the fluids, forming the signature bands of blue and white.
Discovery and Origin:
The credit for uncovering this hidden gem goes to Willy Preiss, with George Swanson later promoting the deposit around 1962. The Blue Lace Agate deposit is found in Ysterputs, southern Namibia. This region boasts a rich geological history, and the agate originates from a nearly vertical shear zone within the area's dolerite rock.
A Stone of Communication and Peace:
Beyond its captivating looks, Blue Lace Agate is attributed with powerful meanings. It's believed to foster clear communication, promoting honesty and expression. The calming blue hues are associated with peace and tranquility, making it a stone for emotional balance.
Bring a touch of Namibia's natural wonder into your world. This Blue Lace Agate slab is perfect for lapidary work, crafting stunning cabochons or exquisite art pieces.  The captivating interplay of color and the stone's inherent meaning make it a treasured addition to any collection.
