I have had great fun reading these delightful stories to my kids, the stories so sweet and simple but highly imaginative and charming. My favourite part of reading them however has been the look in my five year old son's big blue eyes, all huge and sparkly with wonder, as he absorbs the words, and when he comes up with his own cute scenarios of where he would go if he had his very own wishing chair. The perfect bedtime story really, mellow enough that he doesn't get all hyped up before attempting to fall asleep but with enough adventure to keep him captivated.   (Goodreads)
