DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	The BOEKENHOUTFONTEIN MEDALLION WAS produced by the SIMON VAN DER STEL FOUNDATION in 1973. This is a STERLING SILVER MEDALLION which is VERY LARGE AND WEIGHS 125 g. It has a diameter of 63 mm and is 5 mm thick. The medallion has the STERLING SILVER HALLMARKS of the SOUTH AFRICAN MINT on the rim. These medallions were also numbered and the medallion on offer here has the very LOW NUMBER 21 on the rim. You can see the front of the medallion in the image above and 4 images which describe it further follow. Please ask a question if there is anything you are unsure about.
CONDITION	The medallion is in very good and collectable condition. I would rate it as VF. Please refer to the images for an indication of condition.

NOTES
At 125 g in weight this is a nice collectable and investment piece. The medallion also has the very low number of 21.

The back of the medallion shows the emblem of the Simon van der Stel Foundation.

The medallion was minted by the South African Mint and has the sterling silver hallmarks of the South African Mint on the rim.
