A Boer War Medal - S.J.P. Kruger "Full Face".  Reference: Hern 366.

President Kruger visited Amsterdam on 19th December 1900. It is probable that this medal was made by Mayer & Wilhelm of Stuttgart and sold to the people Amsterdam as a commemoration of his visit.

Gilded bronze.  Diameter 28.5 mm. Mass 8.3 gm. Intact and still with suspension loop.  Some of the gilding has rubbed off but otherwise in nice condition.
