Boer War - Brass 'Kruger & De Wet' Pocket Knife
This lovely, early, brass South African, Boer war period pocketknife features the embossed portraits of Transvaal President, Paul Kruger and Boer General, Christiaan De Wet on one side, and on the other side, the old flags of the Orange Free State and Transvaal with the wording 'Eendracht maakt Macht' in between. I'm not sure where the knife was made, but it is stamped with a 'rearing horse' on the base of one blade, and the letter 'R' on the other. Both blades have minor damage to the tips, otherwise the penknife is in great condition with secure blades that snap shut. It measures 9,2cm x 2cm (closed) and 18,2cm (including blades), with a weight of 40,7g.
