A Boer War Slider Badge for the London Rifle Brigade.  I believe that these badges continued to be used through the First World War.

The Royal shield in the centre.  In a band around: "LONDON RIFLE BRIGADE / SOUTH AFRICA 1900 . 02".  Behind crossed sword and sceptre.  Encircled by a wreath of oak leaves.  Crown at top.  The motto "PRIMUS IN URBE" in a scroll below, and at the foot the shield of the City of London.

White Metal with Brass Slider.  35 x 45 mm.  Mass 9.4 gm.  Genuine article in excellent condition.
