This Message Pouch belonged to a Charles "Charlie" Barnett who was a Trooper with the Natal Carbineers during the Boer War ( See photocopy scan of MUSTER ROLL below) & Was also awarded the 1906 Natal Rebellion Medal ( See photocopy scan of MEDAL ROLL below)

MADE BY HOBSON & SONS of LONDON Dated 1886 (See scans below)

The badge on the front of the Pouch is COLIN OWEN NUMBER 358
