A Boer War pocket knife with embossed metal handles.  Most of these knives were produced in Solingen, Germany and this particular one was distributed by Hochschild & Co. It bears portraits of Paul Kruger and General De Wet on the one side and the early flags of the Transvaal and Orange Free State on the other as well as the engraved phrase 'Eendracht Maakt Macht.'  The base of the main blade is stamped "HOCHSCHILD & CO, SOLE AGENTS FOR SOUTH AFRICA".  This stamp is somewhat faded.  Note :  Overall condition is good with no damage. Being an antique, there is wear and tear commensurate with age.

Length (fully open) : 18.5 cm
