AN EXTREMLY RARE BOER WAR PRISONER OF WAR ARTWORK. THE PLAQUE IS CARVED "CARVED BY BOER POW-ST HELENA- 1902" IT ALSO BEARS SHOWING  ARMS OF THE EAST KENT REGIMENT, THE REGIMENT WHO GUARDED ST HELENA POW CAMP DURING THE BOER WAR. ON THE REVERSE IS A AFFIXED NOTE SHOWING CHRISTIAN DEWETS SON DETAILS. JACOBUS (KOOTIE) DEWET WHO WAS HELD IN THE BOER POW CAMP ON ST HELENA. THE PLAQUE MEASURES 32cm IN DIAMETER. A VERY BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF SOUTH AFRICAN HISTORY AND EXTREMLY RARE.
