Boer War POW Handcraft - Box with Coins - Ceylon

Boer War Prisoner of War Handcrafted Wooden Box with Coin Collection. Size of box: 290mm x 45mm x 15mm. Fretwork on lid reads: J.C. Branders 1901 Krygsgevangene (POW) Ceylon. Box has hand made hinges and catch, one catch is missing, see images. There should be a collection of 11 coins, unfortunately 4 have gone missing over the years. The coins were all originally glued down, but over the years have all come loose.
