Boer War POW Pipe

Up for auction is a Boer War POW carved pipe.

A typical Oom Paul type pipe carved with the Transvaal crest to the front Boer War 1899, 1900, 1901. The pipe also has the following battle names carved on it: Colenso, Pieters Hill, Ladysmith, Spion Kop and Talana. Interesting to note that these are all Natal battle sites. The pipe itself is stamped on the wood with the makers mark EEC in an oval and the letters EP on the metal ring round the stem.
