a) Q.S.A. 'Relief of Ladysmith'. Tpr. O.T. Mason. (Overton Trollope). Colonial Scouts. b) WW1 Victory Medal. 2nd Lieut. O.T. Mason (1st/9th Bn. London Regt) Died France 1st July 1916. Served in G.S.W.A. Lived in Musgrave Rd. Durban.
Medals are in good condition but the ribbons are worn.


Colonial Scouts raised November 1899 from Natal volunteers, 500 strong. Later 700, disbanded March 1900. He is confirmed to the Roll.

* A Squadron were the last to leave Spionkop.

Served inSouth Africa, 1914, and German South West Africa, then went to England and joined O.T.C.

Received 1stWW Star Natal Mounted Rifles

War Medal & Victory 1st/9th Batt. London Regt.

Served Francefrom 27.5.1916.
