Boer War - Rare Q.S.A. Medal 'KLIPSDAM D.M.T.'(Only 6 to this unit)- 'TPR. W. HARRIS'

 

This original, full size 'Queen South Africa' Medal was issued to 'TPR. W. HARRIS' of the 'KLIPSDAM D.M.T.'. I believe this to be a very rare medal, as I've read there were only nine medals awarded to this unit and three were returned in May 1909. I've also read of another unit, but different spelling, the 'Klipdam District Mounted Troops', where 123 were awarded to this unit. This medal is un-researched, comes complete with its original ribbon and is in excellent condition.
