Framed display of Boer War relics originating from the site where the Boers destroyed two railway bridges over the Rhenoster River north of Kroonstad (today near Koppies). It includes rivets and a piece of flat iron bar, presumably from the original steel bridge that was dynamited by the Boers. Also a 303 Lee-Metford / Enfield cartridge case, a wood drill bit and nails, presumably from the second temporary wooden bridge that was built by the Royal Engineers, but also destroyed by the Boers during the famous Battle of Rooiwal. All items are mounted on a photo of the wooden bridge. The frame interior is a bit dusty, probably form storage?
