Pattern 1882/88 style General Service leather bayonet frog, of the type used in the Boer War and/or Union Defence Force in WW1. Brown leather could indicate mounted infantry or Colonial forces use as opposed to buff leather for British infantry use.
The 1903 pattern leather bandolier equipment never had an official bayonet frog, however the leather 1882/88 pattern frog and numerous variations of it were issued to troops wearing the 1903 bandolier equipment as well.
