This revolutionary way to recycle all uncooked and cooked kitchen scraps is based on the use of EMs (Efficient Microbes) which consist of naturally occurring beneficial micro-organisms ( a mixture of fungi + bacteria) which accelerate fermentation.

Bokashi is:   Cost effective

                      Easy to use

Requires little space - ideal for apartments

                      Decomposes quickly

No Smell - does not attract flies

When material is placed in the garden it will fully decompose, putting effective microbes into the soil, reducing green house gases and introducing nitrogen.

You receive: *- 2 buckets( made in S.A. from recycled plastic), which fit into eachother, the inner has holes to drain the bokashi juice ( a liquid fertilizer which can be diluted and used on plants or used neat as a safe and natural drain cleaner)

*- the outer bucket has a tap to drain juice

*- 2.5 lt of Bokashi Powder

How to use: simply add kitchen scraps ( uncooked and cooked) to your bin, layering scraps with bokashi powder until the bin is full.  When the bin is full, remove the inner bin and place closed in a warm place for 2 weeks after which you can dig it into the soil where it will decompose quickly.
