LARGE VINTAGE AMETHYST BROAD BAND STERLING SILVER RING. 925. HEAVY!

This vintage piece is crafted in sterling silver. The broad band ring has a stylised, Baroque floral feel, featuring a central, oval cut, claw set amethyst surrounded by 8 x round-cut, claw set amethysts in sterling silver. The amethysts are a soft purple, almost lilac. Raised polished sterling silver spacers are part of the pattern.  The shoulders have an openwork curlicue detail. The ring head measures 20mm long x 19mm across, and has an almost flat, table top style so it sits well on the finger.  The  piece weighs a hefty 9,5 grams, and the ring size is a 7 or 'O' in British or SA sizing.
