MAGNIFICENT VINTAGE "MICHAEL KORS" METAL RING 
SIMPLE AVANT GARDE DESIGN. LARGE, HEAVY!

This vintage Michael Kors ring is a simple, bold avant grade design - almost steampunk. Created in an unusual metal, the broad band piece is quite thick, with an additional square piece on the ring head, appearing to be screwed onto the shank with four screws. The ring head bears the engraving `'MICHAEL KORS, EST 1981 in two rows, centred across the middle of the 13mm wide x 11.5mm long ring head which sits 2mm above the finger. It's not my usual line of jewellery but when a genuine Michael Kors came in from a vintage favourite, I thought I would add it to the colleciton! I have tried to find out what kind of metal Michael Kors uses but all I could find is "patented". There is no hallmark that I recognise. The piece weighs a hefty 10,51 grams, bears a '6' hallmark and definitely has some buff marks under the microscope. Simple, bold, and elegant - this will appeal to a collector of modern brand jewellery!
