Bombardment of Ladysmith Anticipated tells the story of the Siege of Ladysmith from the perspective of George Charles Maidment, a British orderly who survived the 119 days of the siege. Alan Chalmers has reproduced George Maidment's diary in full with only minor corrections and included his own insightful commentary.
