What is the difference between the NC3 set and the individual NW pots? The NC3 set comes with three pots (8/13/21L) at a bundled price. The NW individual pots are sold separately and are available in a wider size range, including the large 40L to 100L catering sizes that are not included in the NC3 set. The NW range also uses a thicker aluminium wall (2.24mm) for extra durability in heavy-duty use.
How thick is the aluminium? The NW Extra Heavy Duty range uses 2.2mm to 4mm thick aluminium, depending on the pot size. Larger pots use thicker walls to support the weight of the contents and handle the stress of commercial cooking. This is significantly thicker than most imported aluminium pots on the South African market.
What size pot do I need for a large event? As a general guide: the 40L pot serves approximately 4050 people, the 55L pot serves 5070 people, the 70L pot serves 7090 people, and the 85L pot serves 90120 people. For very large community events or church functions, the 100L pot can feed over 120 people in a single batch.
Is free delivery available for large pots? Yes. All orders over R800 qualify for free delivery anywhere in South Africa. Since individual pots in the larger sizes exceed R800, they automatically qualify for free shipping. Delivery is handled by Bob Go (formerly uAfrica).
