PROVENANCE AND HISTORY ROYAL ALBERT was established in 1896 in Longton, Staffordshire, England. The name "Val D'Or" translates from French as "Valley of Gold," a tribute to the luxurious gilded edges that define the range. Pieces from this era were manufactured at the historic THOMAS C. WILD & SONS works in the heart of the English Potteries district.
