This is an elegant BONE CHINA sugar bowl and creamer set from the renowned VAL D'OR collection by ROYAL ALBERT. Each piece is crafted from translucent white porcelain and finished with a hand-applied 22-CARAT GOLD rim. The "Val D'Or" pattern is celebrated for its minimalist "Montrose" shapecharacterized by its fluted, classical curvesoffering a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic for any tea service.


PROVENANCE AND HISTORY ROYAL ALBERT was established in 1896 in Longton, Staffordshire, England. The VAL D'OR pattern was first introduced in 1960 and remained in production for decades due to its enduring popularity as a formal "white and gold" bridal and tea-set staple. The name "Val D'Or" translates from French as "Valley of Gold," a tribute to the luxurious gilded edges that define the range. Pieces from this era were manufactured at the historic THOMAS C. WILD & SONS works in the heart of the English Potteries district.
