Edwardian Mahogany Bonheur du Jour Ladies Desk, Circa 1905
This exquisite Edwardian bonheur du jour (ladies writing desk) dates to circa 1905 and is crafted from rich mahogany with fine foliate carvings and elegant proportions.

The arched back features a beautifully detailed foliate fretwork panel above a shaped rectangular beveled mirror, flanked by two small drawers with intricate carved fronts. The shaped rectangular writing surface includes a tooled brown leather inset, adding both luxury and practicality.

Below, a row of three drawers offers additional storage, each adorned with brass escutcheons and loop handles. The desk stands gracefully on acanthus-capped cabriole legs, terminating in scroll feet with brass castors, allowing ease of movement.

A perfect piece for a refined interior, dressing area, or study combining functionality, elegance, and timeless Edwardian craftsmanship.
