THEY ARE MADE FROM THE TEAK OF "HMS IRON DUKE" WHICH WAS THE FLAGSHIP OF ADMIRAL JELLICO, COMMANDER AND VICTOR AT THE NAVAL BATTLE OF JUTLAND IN 1916. SIZE OF EACH: HEIGHT = 19 cm WIDTH = 16.5 cm and DEPTH = 15 cm (THEY ARE THUS QUITE BIG). THIS BEAUTIFUL PAIR OF BOOKENDS COMES FROM A COLLECTION GATHERED BY A GENTLEMAN OVER A LIFETIME. THEY ARE MADE OF SOLID AGED TEAK AND ARE OLD WITH LOVELY AGE - PATINATION. THEY ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
