The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Service Dress Tunic is present and detailed with fittings . Branch & Rank Insignia remains in a Good State and item has been utilised. Minimal Signs of Wear evident due to handling. All stitching appears complete, with all metallic buttons at fly-front, cuffs  and pockets present. Tunic Lining is intact , with original owner's inscribed details. Manufacturer label & Date marking evident. Item is Second-Hand. 

ITEM HAS BEEN SUBJECT TO HANDLING/ EXPOSURE TO VARIED CONDITIONS. LONGTERM STORAGE HAS OCCURRED.

An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1970s SADF Infantry Lieutenant Service Dress Tunic w/ Branch & Rank Insignia. This piece appears to be in a VF+ state of preservation, with detailed Metallic Military Branch &  Rank Insignia evident. All insignia present w/ retention Pins and fittings. Minimal Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Material appears in good order- lining is intact. All Buttons are securely mounted & appear on fly-front , pockets and cuff portions. Internal manufacturer label is present with original owner's Force Number & Blood Type inscribed within the lining and beneath the right collar Lapel.

This piece would have been issued & utilised by a Commissioned Infantry Officer in the former SA Defence Force - as part of the Step-out / Service Dress Uniform attire. 

The ideal addition to any SADF/ SWATF  Border War Era Insignia/ Uniform collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece for their assortment.
