An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1970s SADF Nutria Webbing National Service Duffle Bag w/ fittings. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with material intact and all necessary parts appearing present. All brass eyelets at opening are present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Retention Strap and carry handle remain complete and securely mounted. Material will display a small degree of surface wear at lower portion edges. All stitching appears complete and intact. Metallic hook and loop system is functional. Original owner Name & Force Number have been inscribed. A degree of fading will be noted - due to environmental exposure and general age-related handling.
This piece would have been issued to all SADF National Servicemen - upon entering the Army for their Military obligation. These items , would have contained all uniform and kit pieces issued to the Soldiers.
