The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION-  Camouflage raphic Design Relief is present and detailed.Insignia no longer  remains/ having been removed. Material is in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. A degree of pigment fading will be evident due to sun exposure / general handling. All ventilation grommets and adjustable press Studs are present and functional. Foliage retention band is intact. Internal orange Day-Glo recognition panel is complete.

An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s Second Patt. Camouflage Bush Hat w/ Foliage Band & Day-Glo Liner. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Camouflage Design Relief on  obverse and reverse. All necessary parts appear present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Material is complete and in good order - NOTE : fading from sun exposure will be visible. Day-glo recognition panel remains intact and secure within lining. All ventilation grommets and press Studs are visible and function when engaged. 

This piece would have been utilised by members of the South African Security Forces, whilst performing Counter-Insurgency duties in the Operational Area of SWA - with the appropriate Camouflage uniform attire.
