Appropriate Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Blade remains exceptionally sharp - must be handled with care/ caution. Leather Scabbard is complete with press Stud retainer. Original whet-stone is present. Handle and cross-guard are secure.

An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s Private Purchase SADF 44 Parachute Brigade Ontario 3-11 Survival Knife w/ Leather Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed half-serrated Blade , featuring an exceptionally sharp edge and clip point. All nomenclature present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Leather stack handle is complete & secured well to cross guard. Pommel features Ontario markings. All press Studs are functional and retention strap is intact. Aluminium reinforcing Plate is attached to Scabbard ( later discontinued in the 1990s).

This piece was a private purchase item - not State Issue , and utilised by a former member of 44 Parachute Brigade from 1989 - 1992. The item has been subject to minimal usage and displays well in terms of overall condition. Ontario knives are renown for their quality and durable nature - belonging to the Camillus knife manufacturing company in the United States of America.
