An EXCELLENT example of a Border War, 1980s South African Defence Force - Nutria Bateleur 90 Webbing Equipment Set. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state of preservation, with detailed fittings on obverse & reverse. All necessary Ammunition & Utility Pouches appear present. Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Cordura Nylon material is in good order & surface may display areas of wear / scuff marks. Internal pressed felt absorption pads remain intact on all panels. Equipment suspension system is intact - featuring a velcro adjustable waistband for comfortable fit. All zipper systems, anodised metallic fittings, buckles , tabs and velcro closures are present & appear functional when engaged. Webbing is complete w/ a waist-band buckle closure system - however , NOTE : The Insertion /Receiver Buckle displays a small fracture from handling / field usage. Item has been inscribed by original owner with personal initials & Blood Type. Manufacturer label is evident & remains legible. The Bateleur 90 Webbing Equipment made provision for the following:
