This piece remains in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Fighting Knife appears in a Good State of preservation and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Original owner's initials are inscribed on leather Sheath. Blade is exceptionally sharp.

An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1970s Early SADF Special Forces/ Recce Fairbairn-Sykes Knife with leather Sheath.This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with the correct Third Pattern cast Zinc Alloy handle. The handle retains the characteristic 27 - ridges of the  knurled grip pattern & Brass Hilt bolt or "doughnut". The ricasso has been ground down manually to a circular form and the blade has been sharpened to  present state. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. 

The original Leather Scabbard with brass chape is complete - with a Green Patt.73 Webbing retention strap being augmented by the original owner. Please Note : Steel Blade is exceptionally sharp and retains a cutting edge. Initials of " T.H.E"  are visibly inscribed on the Sheath body.
