On Wednesday, 9 March 2011, the police confirmed that a burnt body with a bullet wound to the head found in a veld near Kameeldrift in Pretoria was that of the missing 55-year-old artist, Cornelius Bosch. Family and friends gathered at an art gallery in Hartbeespoort Dam and began collecting Bosch's paintings.
This is a beautiful work by this decorative artist that has a wonderful ability to successfully combine colours. Bosch's work has been steadily increasing in price and we are very sure that his work will continue to appreciate now that he has passed away.
Some of his landscapes this size (950 x 960mm) sell for between R70,000-R80,000 even before his passing.
