DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	An unusual BOSSONS CHALKWARE FIGURINE depicting THE MOROCCAN. This is not the normal wall hanging type, but is the shelf version. It is 15 cm (6 inches) tall and was manufactured between 1963 and 1966. The modeller was the most famous Bosson's sculptor Fred Wright. You can see the item as sold in the image above and 3 more images which further describe it follow. Please ask a question if there is anything you are unsure about.
CONDITION	The figurine has a few areas where there is paint loss and it needs to be restored. All paint is still original factory applied and there are no chips or cracks.

NOTES
The BOSSONS shelf version figurines are considerably more scarce than the wall hanging ones and were produced for shorter periods. If this one interests you, please Google it for more information. THE MOROCCAN does not exist as a BOSSONS wallhanging (only as a shelf model and as a lamp base). It was modelled from THE PERSIAN which is a very similar looking wallhanging.

From the side

Shown from the side. The figurine has a flat base to stand on a shelf. Unlike the wallhanging it is not flat behind.

From the bottom. The figurine does not have the normal BOSSONS markings, because the flat bottom was covered with baise to protect the shelf or table it is intended to stand on.

With a match box to give an idea of relative size. The figurine stands 15 cm (6 inches) tall.
