Description

A BOSSONS CHALKWARE SHELF ORNAMENT DEPICTING THE SIKH. Hand painted. Stands 15 cm (6 inches) tall. Factory applied felt on the bottom to prevent scratching of shelf.

Notes

This is the figurine of the Sikh (Bossons calls it the 'shelf ornament') and not the the normal wall hanging. The shelf ornament is considerably more scarce than the wall hanging. It can be researched on the internet at Bossons.info/bossons heads.atm

The Sikh was produced by Bossons between 1963 and 1966. The sculptor was Fred Wright.

This figurine also has the marks of the paintress (lady who painted it) which are painted on the back of the base (see the image lower down).

Condition

In very nice condition. There is no damage to the chalk - only small spots of paint loss as normally found on these figurines. Please use the images below as reference to condition.
