The Boston Fern is a popular plant for both indoor and outdoor. It's well known for its delicate, lacy fronds that add a tropical touch to any space. Boston ferns are easy to care for and thrive in humid environments with indirect sunlight. These ferns are absolutely beautiful!

Commonly known as : Boston Fern

Botanical Name: Nephrolepsis Exultata

Boston Fern Care guide

Light:

Boston ferns prefer indirect sunlight, so a location near an east- or west-facing window is ideal. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight, as this can cause the leaves to yellow and wilt.

Watering:

Keep the soil evenly moist, but not soggy. Water the plant thoroughly and allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. In general, Boston ferns like humid environments, so consider misting the leaves or placing the plant on a pebble tray to increase humidity.

Soil: Use a well-draining soil mix specifically formulated for ferns.

Fertilizing: During the growing season (spring and summer), fertilize every two to four weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer like Grobest. In Autumn and winter, fertilize monthly.

Temperature:

Boston ferns prefer warm, humid environments with temperatures between 15-24°C.

Repotting:

Repot Boston ferns every two to three years, or when they outgrow their current pot. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one, and be sure to use a well-draining soil mix.

Pruning:

Trim off any yellow or brown fronds as needed to maintain a healthy, attractive appearance.
