A BOX WITH 6 POMPADOUR PATTERN 12CL (120ML} CHRYSTAL DARQUES FRANCE LEAD CHRYSTAL WINE GLASSES. TOGETHER IN ORIGINAL POMPADOUR PATTERN BOX.
These wine glasses in the famous Pompadour pattern were made for a relative short period of time circa 1997-2008.
THIS IS A REAL CHRYSTAL 24% LEAD GLASSES! IT MAKES A BEAUTIFUL REVERBERATING RINGING SOUND WHEN LIGHLY STRUCK. IT ALSO CREATES A SUBTLE TONE WHEN YOU RUN A WET FINGER AROUND THE EDGES.
The POMPADOUR pattern, Longchamp owes its shine to its raised and graduated stepped vertical and horizontal cut bowl. It has a multifaceted cut stem. It radiates party tables around the world. Use them for serving and enjoying your favorite wine.
SIZE:
Each 120ML wine glass has a height of approximately 13,5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.1cm and across the foot of about 5.6cm.
CONDITION: BOX HAS SOME WEAR AND CORNER TEARS. GLASES IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS AND NO CRACKS.

Why is lead crystal so rare and expensive?
They stopped the production of True Lead Glass in 2010. The health risks of lead mean that todays supposed lead glass is actually manufactured with substitutes for lead which makes true lead glass more valuable due to scarcity. Lead glasses are also desirable due to its clarity and exceptional transparency. The Lead content makes it also stronger and more durable. They use lead in their glass products for a reason - it simply looks stunning! Bohemian crystal is known for its brilliance. This brilliance is achieved precisely by the high amount of lead. Lead causes high refractive index in the glass which in turn increases the ability of the glass to separate light into all its colors. Also note leaded glass is safe to use it poses more of a risk to the manufacturers than the users.
